Fronius Wattpilot Flex Home

The Wattpilot comes into its own inside a Fronius system. With a Fronius inverter and a Fronius Smart Meter at the switchboard, it can see how much solar is going spare and put it into the car, anywhere from 1.38 kW up to the charger's full rating, switching between one and three phases by itself to follow the sun.

It shows up in Solar.web next to your solar, battery and household use, and the Solar.wattpilot app is where you set it up and run it: Eco Mode puts solar first, and Next Trip Mode has the car ready for when you need it. Even the LED ring on the front shows how much of the charge is coming from the sun, the battery or the grid.

It can work with another brand's inverter too, through a Fronius Smart Meter IP or Datamanager Box. Fronius says that in that setup no other self-consumption control, such as a battery, can run alongside it. So if you want the house, the battery and the car working as one, a Fronius inverter is the way to do it.
