GoodWe HCA G2 EV Charger
The HCA G2 is GoodWe's home charger, and it talks straight to your GoodWe hybrid inverter. Charge the car on spare solar alone, or on solar plus the home battery, and run solar, battery and car together in the SEMS+ app. The house and the car work as one energy system.
The house and the car, running as one
A basic charger only knows how hard it's allowed to pull from the switchboard. The HCA G2 is cabled to your GoodWe hybrid inverter, and the inverter passes it the solar and meter readings, so the charger knows what the panels are making and what the house is using before it decides how hard to charge.
Put it in PV mode and the car only gets solar the house isn't using. PV + Battery lets the home battery help fill the car too. When a cloud rolls over, you choose what happens: keep a minimum charge going from the grid or the battery, or pause until there's spare sun again. The three-phase models can even drop back to single phase on a weak afternoon, so they keep charging on less solar.
And it all sits in SEMS+, the same GoodWe app as your solar and battery. Start or schedule a charge, change modes, and see the panels, the battery and the car in one place. One brand, one app, one system, which is exactly why we like pairing it with a GoodWe setup.
GoodWe's HCA G2 compatibility list (2026) covers its single-phase ESA, EH Plus, EHB, ES G2, ES Uniq and ET hybrid inverters, plus its SDT on-grid inverters. The three-phase ESA isn't on that list yet, so if that's your system we check with GoodWe before we quote. In the solar modes the charge rate is capped by what your inverter can put out.
