GE GEH Hybrid Inverter

The GE GEH was a single-phase hybrid inverter made by GoodWe under licence from General Electric, and for several years it was our biggest seller. GE-branded equipment is no longer sold in Australia. This page is here for the people who already own one.

General ElectricHybrid5 – 8 kW10-year warranty

No longer sold, late 2024

GoodWe, which built the GE range under licence, stopped selling GE-branded products in late 2024. Existing warranties are still honoured and UV Power still services these systems.

Safety recall: what owners need to do

There is an open safety recall on the GEH series. If the bypass switch is set to bypass while the inverter is running in backup mode, the inverter keeps exporting to the grid, which can give an electric shock to anyone working on a switchboard or on the lines.

Do not use bypass mode, and do not let anyone work on the unit, until it has firmware version 050531 or later. Most units connected to the internet were updated automatically. If yours has been offline, call us on 1300 887 140 and we will check it.
