In Queensland, the "Supercharged Solar for Renters Program" offers landlords rebates of up to $3,500 to install solar panels on rental properties, aiming to reduce tenants' electricity bills. This program, announced in April 2025, aims to save renters an average of $700 per year on power bills.
Eligibility requirements will be established for applicants, dwelling types and products. These will be released ahead of the program launch later this year.
We are now taking expressions of interest, and we will be in contact once the release date is announced. The scheme has a budget for only 6500 houses, so we anticipate this will fill quickly.
