Warranty Against Defects

At UV Power, we are committed to providing high-quality solar products and services. Our warranty policy ensures that you are covered against defects and issues that may arise with your solar PV system. Here's what our warranty includes:


Manufacturer's Warranties and UV Power Warranty

  • UV Power supplies goods that are covered by various manufacturers' warranties, in addition to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • UV Power is responsible for claiming all manufacturer's warranties on your behalf.
  • We provide a 5-year warranty on the workmanship of the PV system


Product Replacement

  • In the event of a defective product, we, at our discretion and subject to stock availability, may replace the product with another of comparable value and features, and process a warranty claim against the relevant manufacturer.


Installation Services Warranty

  • We also offer  installation services warranty for any defects in the work carried out by our qualified installers.

Specified Products, Scope of Warranties, and Warranty Periods

  • All warranty periods commence on the date the product is installed by UV Power or sold to the customer.
  • Only products listed and specified are covered by manufacturer's warranties, subject to the limitations outlined below. Please note that panel glass is not covered by a warranty and should be claimed on the household insurance policy.

Limitations and Exclusions

To ensure the proper functioning of your solar PV system and to make warranty claims, it's important to note the following limitations and exclusions:

  • Claims are excluded from the scope if:
  • The customer has not paid in full all amounts owing to UV Power.
  • The defect is contributed to or caused by improper usage, failure to comply with instructions, or usage of the product for purposes other than intended.
  • The product is not satisfactorily maintained, subject to misuse, neglect, accident, or abuse.
  • The product is repaired or modified by anyone other than a CEC-accredited installer acting at UV Power's direction.
  • The product is moved without following the specified procedures.
  • Damage or defect is caused by external factors such as lightning, flood, power surge, fire, pest damage, corrosion, or other events outside UV Power's reasonable control.
  • The product is altered or modified without written approval from UV Power.
  • Normal wear and tear or faults that do not affect the basic performance of the product.

Statutory Rights

In addition to the above, to the full extent permitted by law and subject to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law, all conditions, warranties, guarantees, rights, remedies, liabilities, or other terms implied or conferred by statute, custom, or the general law that impose any liability or obligation on UV Power are expressly included.
